 Further reflexion on revisiting Mexico Emotions certainly ran high through my days spent in Mexico. Seems memories lurked around each corner. Some of the best days of my life were spent here. The 2 people I use tot ravel to Mexico with have both passed away .  I imaged them with me as I walked this vast  metropolis. One night me, Melindo, and our friend Leonel went to visit Tenampa. Tenampa was made famous being mentioned in various 1960's  songs by some of Mexico's most legendary singers. Tenampa is a mariachi bar located in Plaza Garibaldi. The last time I was in Plaza Garibaldi was with my friend Bill Bayes. "Bill and I at Plaza Garibaldi 2002" Bill owned Ansley Art and Frame in Atlanta and had framed my work for years. We quickly became friends.  I would sit for hours listening to his tales of travel and mischief. In 2002, we would meet in Mexico City for Christmas. The emotional return to Mexico City. Late in 2024, I was asked by Pablo Solano  to show my paintings at his gallery,  Galeria POZO.  I had met Pablo in Quetzaltenango last year as he travels to "Xela" several times a year.  We had an immediate connection. "Terry 1963" "Terry 1963" left in Pablo's studio in Tultepec I thought this would be a great opportunity and an excuse to visit Mexico again. I could have not asked for more in an exhibition. Love was everywhere. Hard to believe it had been 29 years (1996) since first coming to Mexico City. That was my first international trip traveling with my dear friend, Richard Crowe. We would meet his friend, Rodrigo, who lived in the city. The reason for going to Mexico was to travel to Tomatlan, Veracruz to  visit the former home and grave of my late partner, Carlos Breton Garcia (Tirso). Carlos died of AIDS on August 15,1995.
