Lost in Punto Arenas

We arrived to Punto Arenas with her awe inspiring snow capped mountains and crystal clear waters. It was cold even in the height of her summer.

Such a beautiful pristine place. A place that started as a penile colony and was thought to be cursed.

The first public cemetery in the country that allowed more than Catholics to be buried there.

A more inclusive town.

The overlook at Punta Arenas

I immediately wanted to stay longer.

It was here that I would leave a photograph from this project as it is such a special place that I would love to revisit in the future and would consider living here for periods of time perhaps only in the summer months.

Me kissing the foot of a figure on the Monumento a Hernando De Magellanes

As fate would have it, I became so caught up in Punto Arenas that
I forgot to leave a photograph and information.
But remembering I did kiss the foot on the
Monumento a Hernando De Magellanes...
I will certainly return.

On to Tierra del Fuego.
